AI & Content Transparency
Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.
This page exists because you deserve to know how SriGuide is made. AI tools played a meaningful role in building it; in the writing, the code, and the structure.
Why Disclose This
Section titled “Why Disclose This”AI-assisted content is increasingly common on the web and often invisible. A lot of it is published without review, without verification, and without any acknowledgement that a language model generated it. That’s a problem and especially on a travel site where outdated or inaccurate information can genuinely affect someone’s trip.
SriGuide tries to do things differently. The disclosure below isn’t a legal formality. It’s an honest account of how the work gets done.
How AI Is Used Here
Section titled “How AI Is Used Here”Content & Writing
Section titled “Content & Writing”The initial drafts of many pages on SriGuide were written with the assistance of AI writing tools. This includes destination descriptions, practical guides, and supporting pages like this one.
What that means in practice:
- The ideas behind the contents and tools, recommendations are not generated with AI tools
- AI was used to draft structure, wording, base images and initial content
- Every page is reviewed by a human before it goes live
- Factual claims, entry requirements, emergency numbers, official links, prices - all are cross-checked manually against primary sources
- Pages where content has not yet been fully verified are explicitly marked at the top with a notice indicating that the content is AI-drafted and still being reviewed/formatted
If you see a page without that notice, it has been reviewed. If you see the notice, treat the content as provisional and verify anything important from official sources.
Code & Development
Section titled “Code & Development”SriGuide’s codebase is moderately to heavily AI-assisted. Components, layouts, and tooling were developed with the help of AI coding assistants, then reviewed, tested, corrected, and fine-tuned by the SriGuide’s author. AI-generated code is not deployed as-is. It goes through the same judgement and iteration as any other development work.
What AI Does Not Determine
Section titled “What AI Does Not Determine”- Recommendations and selections: app picks, suggested services, and any “worth your time” judgments are the author’s own, not AI-generated rankings or sponsored placements.
- Editorial stance: SriGuide’s position on things like third-party ETA brokers, unreliable sources, or what’s actually useful for travelers is a human opinion.
- Accuracy responsibility: AI can draft, but it can also hallucinate. Catching that is the author’s job. The use of AI does not shift responsibility for what’s published onto a tool.
Known Limitations
Section titled “Known Limitations”This is a project with finite time. The review process is genuine, but it is not infallible. If you spot something that looks wrong - factually, technically, or otherwise; please flag it. That’s one of the most valuable things a visitor can do.
A Note on Trust
Section titled “A Note on Trust”Using AI to help build something doesn’t make it less honest. Not disclosing it OR just copy pasting content and send it to production might! The goal here is a reliable, useful guide to Sri Lanka. And being transparent about how it’s made is part of that.
