About SriGuide

If you’ve ever tried to research a trip to Sri Lanka, you may know the problem: The information is out there, scattered across travel agency blogs, YouTube vlogs, Reddit threads, and government pages. But pulling it together into something actually useful takes hours. And a lot of what you find first isn’t there to help you. It’s there to rank on search engines (like Google).
Travel agency sites often publish destination content not because it’s the best guide, but because it brings in search traffic (means profit). Some are worse than that - there are third-party sites that impersonate official services, charge fees for things that are free, and are so convincing you have to dig deep into a buried page to realize they’re not the official provider! (Ex: ETA application process sites)
This site is an attempt to do something different. A free, independent, non-commercial guide to Sri Lanka - written for dear travelers.
